People often ask me where I bought my dollhouse

What I really like about your house are the windows on the side. If you check out dollhouses anywhere, they usually don't have those...or maybe just one, not 2. I still cant' decide if I want one like yours or one from Dollhouse. Did your neighbour ever end up getting that Lake View house? I'd love to see more pics of it *starts surfing the net for it*
Yeah I chose this house just because of the windows on the side. It's important for me to be able to create a somewhat realistic touch by lighting through the windows. I wanted a bigger house, but the big ones in this series came without windows inside the house. I didn't know about Dollshouse's houses before I bought my dollhouses, and I'm a bit frustrated with that. But I will buy one at some point.

The house I'm getting will cost me about €600 and it will require a lot of space. I'm not sure how to display it so I can photograph it. I even have problems with this house. I almost have to stand on a chair to be able to photograph the attic.
[this is good]
I love your dollhouse pictures, seeing it again is pushing me to start looking at dollhouses again. I have the space (and the height) but my cats and termites are what is holding me back >__<
Thanks for lovely post!
post more pics of your cats!!
Hehee, She is sleeping right now -paws covering her face. But here is when she is in action.

thank you! so cuuuuute!!! <333333
You have such a wonderful house! I've wanted to get one but the high cost of shipping prevents me from buying. I need to explore local shops, but I've never seen anything near this nice.
she is soo naughty, that is why I have to re-think about dollhouses. >__<"
Hahaha yes I hear you! The pigs are such pigs!
I like the kitchen. Where did you find the kitchen set--minus the Reac chairs?
Now, I want to buy those $300 miniature piglet dolls too...

Oh yes! You must get some miniature resin dolls. They makes the houses look better. You're the biggest inspiration for me in the dollhouse world! I always send the link to your blog when I'm talking about dollhouses with friends. <333
I forgot to answer, I purchased it so long ago, so I can't remember where I got it. But it was from eBay, and I think I bought it from a German seller. The chairs that came with the kitchen looks like this: http://flickr.com/photos/jusum/2036353625/in/set-72157603027593772

But I gave them away to my neighbor because I didn't want to keep them. Horrible!
Oh! Wow--thank you very much.
I really do want to get some of the piglets. First I need to convince myself that I really need them--Ha ha. I wonder what other miniature figs they will make. Would love to see a cat, rabbit, fox, skunk, horse, etc., etc. in that sculpt.
Also, thank you for the information on the kitchen. I really like it. I wonder if I will find it somewhere...

Yes there are plenty of BJD animals out there, but not so beautiful as the pig I think. Here's a mouse. I'm not sure where she got it.. Maybe at Dollndoll.. Or maybe at Luts. Elfdoll hired the Dutch pig artist Charles and Rainman to make the pig, so they only makes pigs. Please ask if you have any questions. I think I'm a doll nerd, cause I know a lot about resin dolls.
I am also maniac about windows. But I'd like to have some in the back wall also... mmh maybe HelleG is right and they're only a pain cause you can't set furniture freely?
I wish I had some place for a dollshouse.
I guess she's right. I think you can do like Helle and just cut out windows out of magazines. It looks really good I think!
have thought about it and I think that she's right, but I want to have some natural light from windows too.
Maybe I'll do like Helle for the main wall windows and real windows for the lateral windows.
I want to make things a little more complicated tho, and cut (or buy) a window frame to glue (or attack with putty so it can be moved) onto the wall. Behind the window frame I'll glue/tape/putty a background taken from a cushion I have, and then some transparent plastic. Mhhh I hope it'll work!
yes. that can work. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
Oh I just looked yesterday, the cushion is Alessi! hahaha XD
I think you'll like it.
what what??
