These little wonders were shown the 14th of June at the World Doll Festival in Seoul, Korea. The dolls are not official yet but we're happy to get some kind of clue what the three new dolls from Blue Fairy might look like. I'm in love with all three of them. My very first resin doll was a Pocket Fairy Jimmy and I'm very happy to see this female version of Jimmy. Didi is like a cross breed between Jimmy and Minimay. Taro is just like a male Minimay with new eyes, and Noma has the same mouth as Kitty. So even if the features of the new dolls aren't completely new, I think we have a set of new gorgeous Pocket Fairy's. I'm very happy!
Pocket Fairy facts:
A basic Pocket fairy cost: $275 (without wig and clothes)
Height: 14 cm tall
Eye size: 8~10 mm
Wig size: 4
Blue Fairy promised to release them since several months ago, but the release date has been changed several times. Last time I heard they should have been released in the beginning of June. I really hope they'll launch them this summer.
I'm so happy to receive these goodies! I'm a big fan of Lola, a Spanish illustrator, doll fashion designer and faceup artist. I ordered one pair of SD sized jeans and I got a Lati Yellow dress, but the rest is in Unoa size (slim MSD). I also received an Unoa Lusis faceplate painted by her and I just love her! She's so pretty and I have to take more pictures of her. Lola's shop is called Atelier Momoni, and her work are as good as it possible can be! Best quality, fit and design.
Pocket Fairy's are of great quality and I highly recommend buying them. A newbie might think they're expensive, and it's a fact that it cost a lot of money, and that one can get a good quality doll for the same amount of money but five times its size. But I've never seen a doll that looks new after a couple of years of instant playing. They are so charming. Their resin as the most beautiful tone and the bodies are solid and perfectly stringed.
Germany: Kinderdinge and Das kleine Koenigreich
Denmark: By Neel
My favorite houses are at Dollshouse but I have to save up to get one of those. These Victorian dollhouses are very günstig and cost about €150,- I noticed that the Danish shop By Neel sell the café that I also have. I get a lot of questions about where to get that. I recommend that you get a house from a store near you because they weight a lot and they are much bigger than you can imagine i you haven't seen them in person. They are very easy to assemble. But get paint, floors and wallpaper in before you assemble the house. It will make things much easier.
Minimini-mart is my favorite dollhouse accessory store. I've spent a minor fortune here, but it's all worth it! The prices are good. They sell everything from cakes, cupcakes, donuts, Tupperware, flowers, to banana splits and Japanese + international dishes. They have the best selection of food really.
Most things are handmade and the detail work are so well made that it's ridiculous. But note that it's mainly in 1:12 scale and goes well with a normal sized dollhouse and small dolls like Pocket Fairy, PukiPuki and Lati Yellow.
Once you start browsing their store, you'll be stuck in there for hours and end up buying half the store. Believe me!
They're going to be doll toys in my dollhouse. I think they're so cute.
They are super small and fits the smallest dolls from PukiPuki to Lati Yellow. I hope they'll arrive soon because I'm moving soon.
I just love love love these! And of course I'm getting some! This made my day. Aren't they lovely. Odeco has real hair, and she's going to be the cutest toy doll to my own dolls. Go and get some you too at http://www.rnddolls.com
They cost $7 each.
